I always dreamed of the elegantly themed bridal showers I would see on Pinterest but never thought my very own could look and feel so perfect in real life. The whole day was so memorable and full of laughter and happy tears. A day surrounded by people I love, memories I cherish, and the prettiest designs possible... what could be better?
Special thanks to my sister and Maid of Honor, Kendall, who pulled together all the details with the help of some fabulous vendors and the cutest event space, Casa de Gilbert. Every element of the day was memorable, from the perfectly staged bubbly bar to the on-theme guest favors.
When guests arrived they were greeted by the most elegant hand-lettered mirror with touches of citrus.
No bridal shower is complete without a bubbly bar, and this one deserves all the attention. It's pretty hard to pick, by my favorite feature of the venue are the glass garage doors that open up to create the cutest serving bar and indoor0/outdoor living concept.
The mimosa bar was stocked with 3 different juices, on-theme white and gold champagne bottles, the most stunning flowers and gold-rimmed glasses.
Might I add that this made for the perfect photo backdrop?!
The table-scape was nothing short of dreamy, with farm tables lined in citrus garlands and gold details. Each person's setting had a watercolor print and fruit-themed gift. The prints, painted and designed by myself, tied in each fruit of the spirit and highlighted our wedding Bible verse...
"Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins."
- 1 Peter 4:8
Each guest received a "fruit of the spirit" EOS chapstick with a label of which fruit it was. I found it so fun to pick out which one I needed more of and swap with friends for the one they needed most.
After we enjoyed a delicious spread of charcuterie, quiche, and fruit, Kendall had everyone join in on bridal jeopardy and "guess the bride's age". Casa de Gilbert has a big living space that opens up to the patio, bar, and pool to become an indoor/ outdoor room which is perfect for hosting large groups and mingling.
Basically every inch of the home was gorgeous. Even without our decorations, the interior design would have been decoration enough. Like c'mon... the green velvet couch in the front living room?!
As if the day wasn't sweet enough, to top it all off my bridesmaid Allison made THE tastiest lemon poppyseed cake with cream cheese frosting and lemon filling. So cute, on- theme, and delicious. You know the kind of cake that is so good you eat it for breakfast the next day? Yeah, that definitely happened.
